It's under provincial Governor's project (Mr. Siwa Saenmanee periods) call "SuebSarnPhaaThaiSaiYaiMaungUbon" (Carry on the relationship of Ubon Ratchathani Cotton). This project aim to conservative and developt the local cotton. And they had selected the beautiful identity cotton to promote and become the identity cotton of Ubon Ratchathani, called "Kaab Bau" on April25, 2000.
"Kaab Bau" is mean to lotus spathe and lotus is also meaning in Ubon (Thai local meaning word). So, many products which produce with Kaab Bau (Ubon Cotton) had become to be the best product to keep back similary Ubon's Souvinir.
